Adobe Firefly — Full Introduction (2026, Adobe Inc.)

Adobe Firefly is Adobe’s commercially-safe generative AI suite​ for images, video, vectors, and audio, launched in beta March 2023 and now sitting across the Creative Cloud ecosystem. Its defining position is training data: Firefly’s own models are trained exclusively on licensed Adobe Stock, public-domain works, and openly licensed content — making it the major generative platform with enterprise IP indemnification​ against copyright claims. In 2025–2026 it also became a multi-model aggregator, hosting 30+ partner engines (Google Nano Banana 2 / Veo, OpenAI GPT Image, Runway, Kling, Flux, Ideogram, ElevenLabs) inside one studio.

• Text to Image: Firefly Image Model 4 / 4 Ultra / 5 (Image Model 5 GA March 2026, native 4MP output, no separate upscaling). Strong photorealism and prompt adherence; artistic ceiling still trails Midjourney for stylized work.

2. Pricing & Free Tier (Generative Credit Model)

Free tier exists​ — unlike AdCreative.ai. Free plan gives limited daily generations​ (older docs say 25 credits/month, watermarked; 2026 official page says “free daily generations” across image/video/audio, refreshes every day, no commercial rights on old 25-credit scheme).

• Credit rules: Standard image gen + Generative Fill = unlimited, 0 premium credits​ on any paid plan. Premium credits burn on video, audio, partner models (e.g. ~10 credits/clip on Video Model, 10/standard image, 20/Ultra image).
• No rollover: Unused credits expire at billing-cycle reset — most common complaint in reviews.
• Annual billing saves ~17% on paid tiers.

3. App / Website / Desktop

• Web App: https://firefly.adobe.com — full studio, all models.
• iOS / Android App: Standalone Firefly app (released June 2025), generates/edits image+video on the go, syncs to Creative Cloud.
